Dr. Gary VanLandingham is a professor at the Askew School. He teaches in the areas of program evaluation, policy analysis, and Florida governance. Prior to joining the Askew School, Dr. VanLandingham was founding Director of the Pew-MacArthur Results First Initiative, a national initiatives which supports evidence-based policymaking in states and local governments. He also previously served as Director of the Florida Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability, the Florida Legislature’s research and oversight arm. He has over 30 years of experience in policy analysis and program evaluation at the state and local government levels. He has also served as Staff Chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures, President of the Southeast Evaluation Association, President of the North Florida Chapter of the American Society for Public Administration, and Chair of the National Legislative Program Evaluation Society.
