Askew School Ranked Among Elite Public Affairs Programs in USA

In April 2004, the U.S. News and World Report released the 2005 edition of its guidebook “America’s Best Graduate Schools” and the Askew School’s Master’s program in Public Affairs ranked 26th overall (10th if ties are considered), with the specialties of Public Management Administration ranking at 15th, Urban Policy at 24th and Public Finance and Budgeting at 26th. The Askew School also ranked overall 4th among similar schools in the American southern states.

The U.S. News rankings are based on a survey of more than 250 USA programs offering a M.P.A. (Master of Public Affairs or Master of Public Administration), the M.P.P. (Master of Public Policy), or the M.P.M. (Master of Public Management). The survey stressed scholarship and curriculum, and the quality of faculty and graduates.
