Thank you for your interest in the Reubin O’D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy. We look forward to working with you throughout the admission process. The Florida State University Graduate Online Application can be found at http://admissions.fsu.edu.
The newly implemented application process incorporates both the University’s and Askew School’s application materials. The first step in the online application process is to create an account. The information and forms listed are items that will be used in the online application process.
Please contact the Reubin O’D. Askew School of Public Administration and Policy at 850 644-3525 if you should have questions or need assistance.

The minimum standards for the Ph.D. program include a score of
at least 1100 on the Graduate Record Examination (combined verbal
and quantitative scores) and at least a 3.0 (i.e., "B")
in undergraduate work after the first 60 hours, as well as a 3.5
average in previous graduate work. Occasional deviations from these
standards are allowed for applicants who possess exceptional qualities
that are not reflected in these criteria.
Because admission is competitive, no particular GRE and/or GPA guarantees
acceptance. The University requires that international students
complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with
a minimum score of 550. Professional experience is desirable, but
not required, and academic attainment will receive primary emphasis.
Letters of recommendation are required.
Transfer credits from other graduate programs will normally be accepted
for purposes of posting on the student's FSU record. However, students
must satisfy the University's residence requirement which is 24 semester
hours of courses at Florida State University during one twelve month
period. The residency must be served after having finished 30 semester
hours of graduate work or being awarded the master's degree.
